As we jump head-first into 2025, we started the year strong with one of our biggest local humanitarian aid efforts in recent memory.
For several years, our partners at Unto have sent medical teams this time of year to host annual mobility and vision clinics. While this has always been an incredibly impactful event—bringing individuals and families from all around our region to get medical help that they would be unable to access anywhere else—the team was unable to travel to Jericho this year because of the ongoing effect of the war.
In lieu of sending a team, our partners still came through with a way to help countless people across Jericho from afar. Not only did they send a shipment of over 100 wheelchairs and mobility aids for us to distribute in a future clinic, but they also donated over $150,000 worth of additional medical supplies.
This week, our team met with the Governor’s Office and other local leaders to donate these items to the primary hospital in Jericho. They’ve had a shortage of basic supplies since the beginning of the war, so our boxes of face shields, gloves, masks, and other essential medical supplies were a welcome relief.

“During this war, it has been hard for us to receive a steady supply of medical supplies from other larger cities. But with Seeds of Hope, I feel there are no borders. They are able to reach beyond borders and boundaries. They provide aid and supplies even from other continents to bring help.”

Local hospitals will occasionally receive funding and donations this large from the government, but it’s rare for them to receive a gift like this from a local organization. They were incredibly grateful to both Seeds of Hope and Unto!
“I feel how blessed we are with our friends and family like Unto and our other supporters,” said Seeds of Hope CEO Khader Ghanim. “Sometimes I think that even in this crisis, we are helping more people than we do in normal days. We’re incredibly blessed to be able to do this. And grateful to you as you never leave us alone!”
“It’s always a blessing to us to be able to work with the hospital and all the organizations in Jericho to be of service to the people there,” shared Phil Liller, who serves with Unto.
While we look forward to teams like the one from Unto returning to Jericho, we know your impact isn’t limited to visiting in person. With hardly any project teams setting foot in Jericho in almost 15 months, we’re still able to reach out and encourage our community in exceptional ways, thanks to your ongoing support.
We hope that 2025 is filled with just as much impact, encouragement, and hope as January has held, and with your support, we’re eager to continue our work in every way possible. Thank you for investing in creating lasting, generational change in the Middle East and beyond!
