HELPING COMMUNITIES

IN JERICHO

Our schools provide a unique environment that reinforces self-esteem, inspires creativity, and teaches conflict resolution skills for children living in continuous political conflict and unrest. The nurturing atmosphere allows every student to learn basic subjects such a math and English through positive reinforcement, which has proven to be a higher success rate for retention and graduation. Due to this model, our schools are in high demand, and we currently do not have the resources needed to support our growing numbers.

Education is the foundation of a successful community. When you choose to support our schools, both in Jericho and Jerusalem, your gift impacts more than a child’s education: it creates lasting change in the economic development of the entire region.

PRE-K

Our Pre-K is for 2-3 year olds, and is chock full of fun learning experiences, field trips, and play time. We continue the English language lessons and our core values curriculum, as well as lots of typical fun pre-K activities.

OUR OFFICES

The Seeds of Hope Office is the glue that keeps our whole operation running. When you come in, you will generally be greeted by the smiling face of Norma our receptionist. Khader Ghanim was made our CEO in November of 2018 and is excited to lead the organization he has helped to build over the last 10 years. Fuad Jaddou is our Chief of Staff in Jericho and helps ensure that all of our operations and humanitarian aid initiatives run smoothly.

SPORTS

Our sports programs are mainly centered around our basketball teams for older girls, and our soccer teams for both girls and boys. There are very few sports activities for girls in the West Bank, and we work very hard to provide them with the opportunities to play and grow in their skills. We are also beginning to develop a gymnastics program as well starting this fall.

DAYCARE

Our Daycare is for children ages 3mos. to 2 years. Even from this young age, we begin laying the important ground work for learning English, while we also begin teaching them some early core values of character and morality. Our Daycare recently moved into a larger renovated facility that will allow us to introduce more kids and their family to the Seeds of Hope school system. The kids love the new ball pit and larger play area!

CULTURAL CENTER

The Cultural Center offers a lot of varied activity. Originally designed to be a place for the community to take English and computer classes, join an art class or become a part of our sports teams, it has expanded to include our After-School program which has been a huge success in the community. Offering additional education that the kids in Jericho can’t get in their schools, we have waiting lists for these classes and programs.

KINDERGARTEN

Our Kindergarten uses a KG1 and KG2 type of curriculum.  Here we provide a high-quality education in a nurturing environment. The recently moved out of the building they shared with our Cultural Center, into a larger renovated facility, where we can hold many more students.  Our goal is to begin adding older grades incrementally so that older children are able to continue learning in a loving atmosphere.
