We recently celebrated another cherished milestone in the life of Seeds of Hope School as we closed out the school year and reflected on the growth and achievements of all our students!
From our new rising seventh-graders to our smallest PreK students, we were so proud of all that our children accomplished in such a challenging school year.
Kindergarten Graduation is always a highlight of the end-of-year celebrations. For weeks, the students prepare performances and presentations for their parents and families.
One young girl, Tulay, worked hard on a speech that not only highlighted her impressive English language skills—something she’s no doubt worked hard on all year—but beautifully summarized the entire school year.
Watch Tulay’s wonderful graduation speech!
As we end another school year, our staff and leaders echo Tulay’s words: We cherish the memories we’ve created and look forward to new adventures in the future.
Despite a difficult year, our staff is in good spirits and feels loved and appreciated by Seeds of Hope. Thanks to your generosity, they’ve had no interruption in their salaries despite the economic uncertainty of the past eight months. This has not been true for teachers who work for government schools, where salaries have been cut to 30–40% of their typical amount.
Your faithful support during this season means that we can offer aid to those in need, both locally in Jericho and in other parts of our region. It also allowed us to remain on track with our expansion plans in spite of the uncertainty around us.
Construction is still in progress for our next phase of school expansion, which will open this fall. We also recently secured several land parcels that clear the way for us to grow our school for years to come.
As we work to fund the final touches of furnishings and supplies for our seventh grade classrooms, we will then turn our focus toward rebuilding our general funds and preparing for the next phase of growth.
Your financial support for Seeds of Hope is having major Kingdom impact,” said Seeds of Hope Board Chair Mark Crosslin. “We appreciate that support as we continue to expand to meet the needs of the children in our community in the next grade.”
Mark was able to be in Jericho for our recent graduation ceremony and witnessed firsthand the culmination of another year of impact and investment. “I was told by many parents and staff members how impactful our Core Values curriculum has been. The teachers and students truly love and respect each other. It’s what separates Seeds of Hope from all the other schools.”
Tulay’s final words sum up exactly what we hope for our students:
“I stand alongside my friends, ready for the challenges that lie ahead…”
We pray that the friendships formed and character built at Seeds of Hope prepare our students to face the challenges ahead with hope, grace, and strength. Thank you for making it possible!
