Back to School!

Last week we opened our doors for another school year at Seeds of Hope. Once again, we welcomed our largest student body in our school’s history with the addition of a new grade. Our new fifth grade class was thrilled to be expanding onto our new property across the street from our existing building.

Take a closer look at our new classroom space as our students start another year at Seeds of Hope!

Just six months ago, we approached you with our plans to expand our school and outfit our new property with temporary trailers to create space for the fifth and sixth grades and eventually up to the ninth grade. We had the opportunity to secure the growth of the Seeds of Hope school for the next five years, and you delivered in a big way.

“It’s such a joy to be here today watching all the fifth graders enter into yet another year with us,” said Seeds of Hope CEO Khader Ghanim about the first day of school. “I’m so thankful for the quick response of the sponsors and supporters that helped provide a building for our students and continue to provide for these wonderful children’s education.”

We believe in the power of a positive, values-based education to transform individuals, families, and communities. While we want to continue to widen our impact with new programs and efforts to reach out across our community, our school represents the depth of impact we can have over many years of investing in children at a formative age. And we’re not the only ones who agree.

“As a parent living in the West Bank, I have a strong belief in education,” said Maha Bali, whose daughter Sarah is in the fifth grade at Seeds of Hope. “Education is the key to unlocking the world. It’s our children’s passport to freedom. Thank you, Seeds of Hope, for building a new factory of keys to create a free generation.”

We want to help parents in our community raise free children. Children who are free to show love when the world tells them they should hate—free to forgive when they’ve been wronged or unite when history says they should stay divided. We believe in a generation with the freedom to hope when the world sees the Middle East as a hopeless region.

We believe that lasting, generational change is possible in the Middle East and beyond. Thank you for believing with us and investing in the future of Seeds of Hope and our students!
