The Power of Relationships

Since we first began our work in Jericho, Seeds of Hope has been built on strong relationships with friends, partners, and supporters like you. We believe in the power of relationships. They turn the work of a small team in Jericho into a global movement of hope and peace.

We got the opportunity to grow deeper in one of our relationships this summer by hosting a few leaders from one of our partner organizations—Gateway Church. Since 2011, Gateway has been a vital financial supporter of Seeds of Hope, with many leaders stopping by during their trips to the Middle East. However, after the pandemic delayed plans to send their first project team, we were eager to have them visit Jericho again.

Gateway generously sponsored and led our team through a two-day strategic leadership program called StratOp. This experience was the perfect complement to our board’s annual strategic plan. It helped our team identify growth areas where we could improve our operations to achieve our strategic goals more effectively.

“They helped us to focus on what is important,” said Fuad Jaddou, Director of Community Outreach. “We were able to see our weaknesses and blind spots easily so we can make better decisions aligned with the Seeds of Hope vision.”

We were so grateful to David Metcalfe and Eric Fellman from Gateway for taking our team through this valuable time of growth and team enrichment.

“We have known Gateway for more than a decade, and I can clearly see how God is opening doors for us through our relationship with them,” said Khader Ghanim, Seeds of Hope CEO. “As a leader, I always want to make room for transparency and authenticity, and StratOp allowed the team to share openly without reserve.”

Gateway is just one example of how valuable our relationships are with our partner organizations. These groups—like Unto, North Point Ministries, and Compassion Church, to name a few—have been integral in funding our growth and impacting our community through annual project teams. What started as just a few supporters has grown into strong relationships that have lasted decades.

“As Christians, we are all one body. All called to serve others in the name of Jesus,” said Khader. “Our partners help us grow—not just outwardly in our community, but inwardly as a team. We are honored to serve in Jericho together with our partners.”
